Nursing Classes

When one wants a career in the medical field, they have a number of options to select from, ranging from nursing programs like CNA classes to medical assistant program. These programs cover different areas but the major ones include human development, basic nutrition, human anatomy and psychology, microbiology, nursing science and pharmacology among others. The classes will vary from one program to another and the students will need to check out the requirement for these programs before they make a selection. Some of these programs include:

CNA Classes (Certified Nurse Assistant)

To become a CNA, the student needs to have the desire to help others and can be able to handle body fluids as well as basic care including toiletry. They should also be willing to form relationships with different individuals and take care of more than one patient at a given time. There are quite a number of places where they can get these CNA classes each with varying features. Once they have completed the training they will need to undertake the CNA certification test which comes with a written and a practical test, where they will need to demonstrate the skills they learnt.

LPN Programs

The LPN programs takes at least 9 months to complete depending with the type of program the student selects. In these programs, the students will learn about basic medical concepts and acquire knowledge and skills in the field. The duties in these LPN programs vary as per the work environment. In order to enroll in LPN programs, the students must be at least 18 years old and must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.

LPN to RN transition Programs

This program is designed for the Licensed practical nurses who want to become registered nurses within a short period and without repeating some of the course credits and content. When they pass the test in this program, they will become Registered nurses. The LPN to RN transition programs cover a number of things ranging from current information in the medical field and nursing competencies and the test is what will determine the eligibility of the students to earn their license as an RN and start their career.

Medical Assistant program

The students can also check out the medical assistant program which comes with different features. The programs they select will come with different courses but most of them will combine medical training, training in admission as well as theory in each module taken. After the students complete the classroom studies and the laboratory part of the medical assistant program, they will have to take part in clinical externship where they will work for sometime in medical facilities.

Nursing Classes

The students have the option of taking the traditional nursing classes that consist of attending brick and mortar classes or they can opt for the online nursing classes. The choice will depend with the needs of the students and they need to make sure they have checked out the requirements of these classes before they make a choice. Whichever places they have selected for their nursing and medical programs, they need to make sure they have selected are reputable.
